Aram Manukyan – painter, graphic, artist – was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, on November 26, 1964. His father was a metal artist who early recognized the passion of his son for art and enrolled him at an art school in Tbilisi. He proceeded to study art at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts, Faculty of Painting, then LHKHPU (Leningrad State Higher Art and Industrial College) and V. I. Mukhian (Department of Graphics). His formation as an artist took place in a close, friendly and creative atmosphere among unique artists and teachers such as Sergey Parajanov and Gayane Khachaturian.

Since his beginning as an artist, Aram has been studying, researching and working in more than 10 different art styles. The main peculiarity of his works is using many different colors at the same time. His experimental techniques usually display dense and pasty brushstrokes, in order to better express colors, lights and shapes.

His works have been and are on display in many museums and are part of private collocations located throughout the world: USA, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Israel, Ukraine, Russia.
